The term Janus-faced refers to someone or something that is two-faced or deceitful, often presenting a different appearance or attitude to different people or in different situations. It comes from the Roman god Janus, who is depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions, symbolizing his ability to see both the past and the future. In modern usage, the term is often used to describe someone who is duplicitous or hypocritical. **

The connection between nation, nation-state, and the Janus-faced nature of national memory lies in the way that the nation-state constructs and perpetuates a collective memory that serves to unify and define the nation. The nation-state, as a political entity, seeks to create a cohesive national identity through the promotion of a shared history, culture, and values. However, this national memory can also be Janus-faced, meaning it has two contradictory aspects. On one hand, it can serve to unite and strengthen the nation, while on the other hand, it can also be used to exclude and marginalize certain groups or narratives that do not fit into the dominant national memory. This duality reflects the complex and often contested nature of national identity and memory within the nation-state. **

When starting to color a drawing, I like to begin by selecting a color palette that complements the overall mood and theme of the artwork. Then, I usually start by laying down base colors and gradually building up layers to add depth and dimension. I also pay attention to light sources and shadows to create a more realistic and dynamic look. Finally, I like to add details and highlights to bring the drawing to life. **

The production of microcars like the Messerschmitt Kabinenroller, the BMW Isetta, and the Zündapp Janus was discontinued in the early 1960s due to several factors. One reason was the increasing popularity of larger, more powerful cars as the economy improved and people could afford larger vehicles. Additionally, safety concerns arose as larger cars became more common, and microcars were seen as less safe on the road. Finally, changes in regulations and standards for vehicles also played a role in the discontinuation of microcar production. **
